Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The friendly and accommodating service wins patrons over every time. Diners appreciate the delicious English breakfast and its generous portions, many leaving with satisfied smiles and full bellies. The coffee selection is another standout feature, with many expressing delight over the well-crafted hot chocolates, lattes, and mochas.

Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the splendid views while dining. The convenient location next to the harbour makes it a favored pit stop for families and cyclists alike. The cafe also welcomes canine companions, adding an extra layer of community charm, and making it easy for pet owners to enjoy a meal together.

Most Disliked

Some diners mention slight frustrations regarding water service, noting that prompts are sometimes needed to get refills. While the menu prices reflect the cafe's location and quality, some find them slightly on the higher side compared to average cafes. However, many also recognize that the value given through service and food quality justifies the cost.

The busiest times are during lunch, especially on Sundays, which can lead to longer wait times during peak hours. Early arrivals or those visiting later in the afternoon often enjoy a quieter experience, but weekends can draw significant crowds.

Popped in on a rainy day in Folkestone. Place is nice and staff was very friendly, great service. We just had drinks, but saw many plates of food that looked amazing. Would recommend

Had the english breakfast here and it was SUPER VERY WORTH IT. Staff were friendly and accomodating (only reason why I put 4 stars for service was because I had to ask for water...) nonetheless everything was amazing!

Lovely, friendly service! Perfect location with a good menu selection. Menu items were a little pricier but you are paying for the convenience of location and great service. The hot chocolates and lattes looked amazing! I opted for a mocha, but wish I had chosen one of those as they were cheaper and looked delicious!

Fantastic English breakfast & latte, parking was free for up to 2 hours directly outside (if you manage to get a space), plus prices seem reasonable too. It was the perfect stop off for 4 cold bikers on a December bike ride. We will be back (when it gets a bit warmer 🥶)

Oh my, I ordered the captain's breakfast and there was so much on my plate. I'm not complaining, I just struggled to eat it all to the mirth of my family sitting opposite. We really enjoyed our meals, absolutely top notch grub. We were made to feel very welcome, it was spotlessly clean and we would go again. Thank you
